Deciphex Makes Key Appointments to Strengthen Team in Advance of Mid 2021 Clinical Market Entry

DUBLIN, Ireland, May 4 2021 - Deciphex, a leading provider of digital pathology and AI-powered services, announced that it has appointed Prof Runjan Chetty as Chief Medical Officer, Luke Benko as Vice President of Global Pathology Services and Chris Polley as Clinical Business Manager UK. These key appointments bring excellent core capabilities that will enable Deciphex to break into the global clinical market.

Newly appointed Chief Medical Officer, Prof Chetty is an internationally regarded Anatomical Pathologist/Histopathologist with a speciality interest in GI pathology, will oversee and strengthen global clinical development within Deciphex. Prof Chetty, who brings a tremendous wealth of knowledge and expertise in the clinical pathology arena, was previously the Program Medical Director & Chief/Professor of Pathology at University Health Network & University of Toronto.

Luke Benko, Vice President of Global Pathology Services joins Deciphex from IONpath where he served as the Vice President Sales Worldwide. With nearly two decades of working in the digital pathology industry, in companies such as Leica Biosystems, Applied Spectral Imaging and Flagship Biosciences, Benko has developed both high-performance sales teams and record growth in both US and international markets. Benko will lead Deciphex’s clinical commercial team, which includes customer implementation, global technical support, account management, and managed services.

Chris Polley, Clinical Business Manager UK has worked in the Digital Pathology sector for over two decades bringing with him a wealth of experience in helping define and create pathways to bring innovation to the clinical market. Polley joins Deciphex from Philips where he served as Oncology Solutions Lead. He has held a wide range of managerial roles in companies such as Leica Microsystems, Leica Biosystems and Philips. Polley will lead Deciphex’s clinical market adoption in the UK.
